Perfume Pagoda, 70 km southwest of Hanoi, is a complex of pagodas and Buddhist shrines on the limestone rocks of Huong Son Mountain. Among the better known sites here are Thien Tru, Giai Oan Tru and Huong Tich Tru. From January to early April, Perfume Pagoda gets busy and exciting by a great number of Buddhist pilgrims. And Perfume Pagoda is more attractive and mysterious than other sacred pagodas in the north not only for its spectacular scenery but for the painstaking road you need to pass over to reach to the top.
Start at 08.00 am from Hanoi, driving southwest for about two hours to Perfume Pagoda with a distance of about 70km. Enjoy a 1 hour boat trip on Yen Stream (Swallow Bird) to reach Trinh TempleHuong Tich Cave, where people come to pray for health, luck, weath…etc. before disembarking at Ben Duc (Duc Quay). Go up to Thien Tru Pagoda. Use cable car to visit the main pagoda inside
 Return to Thien Tru Pagoda area on foot for luch. The trek downhill is about 40 minutes. After luch, get back to the boat, have another one more hour boat trip. Drive back to Hanoi with stop for visiting Van Phuc – a traditional Handicraft Silk Village in Ha Tay Provine, where you have great time shopping. Back to Hanoi City center at around 17.30 Tour Ends.
